THE qualifying competition for the “Daily Mail” Foursomes was held at Okehampton Golf Club last weekend and the winners with a fantastic nett 62 was the combination of Pete Murphy and Matt Mills who will now go on to represent the club in the next round.

Kevin Cornwall and Alan Searle were second with nett 65.5 and Malcolm Hooper and Rob Green were third with nett 68.

The ladies section also played a foursomes competition for the Molly Grant Salver and the winners were Anne Brokenbrow and Maggie Caws with 28 points on the back nine from in second Cherry James and Mary Keir also with 28 points, Francis Harbron and Elaine Marwood took third place with 26 points.
