SATURDAY, January 21 saw a three ball two to count stableford played at Okehampton Golf Club which saw Andy Parry, Matt Parry and Martin O’Connor hailed as the winners with 72 points.

In second place were Dave Grimes, Bryan Evans and Hayden Morris with 68 points, in third were John Latham, Graham Pengelly and Steve Latham with 62 points after countback, placing Alan Grimshaw, Mike Davis and Tim Butler in fourth also with 62 points.

On Wednesday, January 18 the eligible ladies of the club played in a Vet’s Knockout qualifier which is a better ball stableford competition.

The winners were Sue Williams and Maggie Caws with 36 points and in second place were Cherry James and Vida Appleton with 35 points.

Sue and Maggie will now represent the Club in the next round.

The latest Seniors event was a close run three ball mixed scoring stableford won by Tony Philips, Dennis Edwards and Barry Porter with 67 points.

In second place were Dave Stanbury, Keith Harvey and Dave Ferguson with 66 points, a point ahead of Jim Oakley, John Haley and Nick Waldron.
