THE annual “Turkey Trot” Individual Stableford competiton was held at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, November 4.

The winner of Division One with 39 points was Alan Grimshaw, with Phil Martin second with 38 points after count back, placing Alan Stokes third and Evan Rees fourth.

Paul MacDonald was the winner of Division Two with 36 points on the back nine from, in second, Russell Bowden. Richard Goodger was third and Paul Fewings was fourth both achieving 35 points.

A clear winner in Division Three was Mike Davis with 40 points.

Steve Latham was second with 36 points, Bill Tucker took third place with 35 points after countback placing Ron Uren in fourth, also with 35 points.

The Ladies Section played their monthly medal competition and the winner of the Silver Division was Penny Deakin with an excellent nett 69.

Francis Harbon was second with nett 71 winning on the back nine and placing Sue Stanbury in third also with nett 71.

The winner of the Bronze Division was Mary Keir with nett 70 and in second place with nett 81 was Elaine Marwood. Sylvie Gowers was third with nett 84.
