ONCE again, the weather caused major disruption for Crediton Youth FC fixtures.

The pitches at Lords Meadow passed a pitch inspection on Friday, December 8, only for heavy overnight rain to put them out of action at the weekend.

All the away fixtures also fell by the wayside on Saturday.

The only side to see any action on Saturday were the U7s who hosted a mini tournament on the astroturf pitches.

It was another fine morning of football for their three sides in windy conditions against sides from Exmouth and West Exe Youth.

They were also presented with their new kit and training tops prior to kick-off.

Their new kit sponsorship kindly organised by parent Helen Bedford and Exeter interior design company Bespa.

The training tops kindly sponsored by coaches and local tradesmen Danny Harvey - DMH Carpentry and Construction and Jonathon Bradford - JB Electrical Services Ltd.

Sunday saw the U13s girls fixture at Starcross Dons survive.

Their fine form continued with a 4-0 victory.

Gracie Clements led the goal scoring with a hat-trick and an own goal completed things for them.

Also away from home were the U11 Youth girls at Torquay United Community Sports Blues.

Goals from  Eva Malik, Izzy Steward and Merryn Eatherley gave them a well deserved win in really wet and windy conditions.
