FOLLOWING a successful season for both First and Second teams Crediton United players, Club officials, volunteers and their partners celebrated the end-of-season awards night with an excellently supported Presentation Evening on Saturday, June 16.

Team Manager’s Matt Trenaman and Nigel Thomas congratulated both teams on their success this season particularly with the Reserves winning promotion for the second season in succession having only lost four games in two years.

Matt Trenaman also thanked long-time Crediton players, Perry Carpenter and Richard Blake, for their service to the Club following their decisions to retire at the end of last season.

Both players started playing for the Club Youth teams when still at Primary School. Both had also played for other clubs at a higher Western League level during their careers but had returned to Crediton for the last six or seven years.

First and Second team captains Dave Lee and Matt Kingdom also presented bouquets of flowers to all the volunteer ladies who do so much for the Club.

SECOND TEAM AWARDS

Supporters’ player of the year: Chris Lane; Players’ player of the year: Ben Dommett; Managers’ player of the year: Jack Lee.
