SEATON 1 - SPREYTON 6

MATTHEW Baker scored the first goal of the afternoon in this game away against Seaton on Saturday, September 1.

Chris Down had a great shot from 25-yards and Baker tapped it in to wrong-foot the ‘keeper to make it 1-0.

Seaton then got back into the game with some link up play leaving our midfield in no mans land and back three under pressure to finish past the Sprey’s no.1 1-1.

Steve Kinsey scored the second goal - from a corner he turned, dribbled and blasted it into the bottom right corner by a great delivery from Quinton Smith - 2-1.

Marko Mc scored the third from “an absolute screamer” as Chris Down brought the ball down on the edge of the box to lay off to Marko to smash home from 20 yards. A solid finish which made it 3-1.

Half-time and the boys regrouped. Manager Mark Baitup kept the side the same for the second half.

Matt Baker scored another goal - lovely play by Quinton on the left-hand side of the pitch and passed it into Matt to make it 4-1.

Chris Down then headed home from a cracking ball and Koehan lobbed the ‘keeper with his head to make it 5-1.

Will H received the ball from a corner from Koe, stayed composed on the six-yard box, turned and scored past the ‘keeper to complete the afternoon’s scoring 6-1.

Man of the match for Spreyton was Adam Leat.

A great result for the Sprey’s on a tough hot afternoon at Seaton. The boys were lazy in patches of the game but never really looked fully under pressure!
