SPREYTON 8 - H T DONS 0

MARK Baitup made a few changes to the starting line-up for Spreyton’s game against H T Dons on Saturday, May 19 to give some of the fringe players a run after what has been an amazing first season.

Chris Down started on the right-hand side of the 18-yard box. He ran into the box to hit a shot off and the ‘keeper made a save for Baker to capitalise on to make it 1-0.

It was a similar situation five minutes later as Down hit a shot and Baker swept up for 2-0. Chris Down was on the right-hand side to put the ball in the box for the defender to kindly knock in for us - 3-0.

Baker completed his hat-trick five minutes later with a finish in the bottom left-hand corner. Half-time score 4-0.

Second half was all Spreyton with Chris Down getting his first of the game finishing confidently past the ‘keeper - 5-0!

Brad Lovatt found himself free in the box to absolutely smash a volley past the ‘keeper - 6-0.

Charlie Caddy made it seven with a cool finish on the 18-yard box and Chris Down completed the day’s scoring with a composed finish!

A smashing end to a fantastic season. Andy Hooper played superb and deserved the man of the match award by making some crucial interceptions.
