SPREYTON 4 - AMORY GREEN ROVERS 2

SPREYTON started the game on Saturday, September 22 really well and composed and didn’t take long to break the dead lock.

Chris Down thought really quickly and threw the ball in from mid-way into the Amory half and Koehan King found himself in acres of space and finished calmly to go 1-0 up.

The second goal came into Cameron Pow who bundled himself through the two centre backs to go 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go in the first half.

For the third goal, Ball came over from Greg Jolly to Baker who passed into Quinton Smith and what a goal to get for his first ever goal for Spreyton with a 25-yard belter into the bottom right corner.

Spreyton started the second half shaky and Amory took full advantage to nick a goal within 10 minutes of the restart.

With 25 minutes to go Koehan King knocked a ball over to Quinton Smith who grabbed his second of the day with a lovely strike on the left-hand side of the box.

With 15 minutes to go Amory then took a long free kick to go from the half-way line which ‘keeper Tim Cockman unfortunately misread with the poor conditions which slipped through his hands - 4-2.

With 10 minutes to go Baker made a rash tackle and got a straight red (what a numpty)!

Overall a good performance from the Spreys and returns of Brad Lovatt and Andy Hooper is a boost to the squad.

Man of the match for Spreyton was Quintin Smith.

We go onto this weekend away at Offwell with our 100 per cent record still in-tact.
