CREDITON Youth FC Wild Cats recently received their participation medals.

The presentation took place after their weekly football session at Lords Meadow.

Each of the girls received their award from Chloe Hartrey and Rowan Karkeek, two of the coaches who both also play for Crediton United FC ladies team. Wild Cats is for girls between 5-11 years-old to have a fun-based introduction to football and meet on a Friday evening from 5pm to 6pm at Lords Meadow.

Many of the ex Wild Cat participants have gone on to play girls football at the club. The majority of the club’s Under 9’s girls side got their first taste of football through the Wild Cats sessions.

This weekend Under 9 girls finished runners-up in the Holsworthy tournament.

Looking ahead Crediton Youth FC is looking to form an Under 8’s girls side so any new players are welcome to join.
