MAGICIAN Tony Everest, from Dawlish, entertained guests with magic and card tricks at the Christmas Lunch for members of the Tuesday luncheon club run by Jean Burrow, proprietor of the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum.???

The lunch, was a delicious roast turkey meal with all the trimmings, followed by a selection of sweets, including Christmas Pudding. 

Jean also gave each person a scratch card and several were lucky, one gentleman winning £10. 

There was also a free draw. Arthur Turner, on behalf of everyone, thanked Jean for her kindness and presented her with a gift, and the collection for the staff, who had worked so hard. 

Everyone agreed it was a superb occasion. ?
