LAPFORD AFC first team got off to a good start with a 2 - 0 win over the Devon Senior Cup holders, Thorverton, with possession 60 - 40.

The goals were scored at 10 minutes and at 57 minutes by “that man with number 14 on his shirt” - the one and only Harry (Poacher) Leach. I would name him the man of the match.

The first team will be at home to Alphington Reserves at 3pm tomorrow (Saturday, September 26). It will be 365 days since they last visited to play Lapford and I am hoping the result will be a win this time.

Lapford Reserves lost at home to Sandford Reserves 1 - 2. The Reserves play away at Bow Reserves tomorrow (Saturday, September 26).
