THE weather was very good for Lapford’s away match against Kentisbeare on Saturday, September 4.

It was a tough game which resulted in a 3-3 draw.

The hosts scored first on eight minutes and Lapford came back to score two goals on 35 minutes and 37 minutes to go into the second-half 2-1 up.

Kentisbeare scored two more goals in the second-half, on 45 minutes and 85 minutes, to lead 3-2, but the lads came back to score on 90 minutes, with the result at full-time of a 3-3 draw. But the referee decided to play an extra 12 minutes, but of course, he is well known for extra time! Enough said.

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 11, Lapford are away to Ottery St Mary Reserves with kick-off at 3pm.

With the results to-hand for Saturday, the Premier Division table shows that Lapford are at number one by one point.
