AS a result of an away win against Hatherleigh Town last Wednesday, May 12, Lapford AFC are now Premier West Champions for the Season 2020/21.

The game started at 6.55pm and went into the dark after 102 minutes on my watch.

Lapford won by six goals to nil to win the Division with a match in-hand to be played tomorrow at home v Chagford, with a kick-off at 2pm.

The goals were scored at 29 minutes and 47 minutes in the first half and at 48 and 88 minutes in the second half with the two others lost in the bad light!

Lapford will have to play the winners of Premier East with the big division of five teams so it looks like Feniton or Lyme Regis depending on the result between Chard Town and Lyme Regis, which was abandoned last Saturday.

If Lyme Regis win when the match is played again, then it will be Lyme, anything else, then it is Feniton.

Last Saturday the Reserves were at home to Okehampton Thirds, losing 4-2.

There was a big crowd of supporters watching.

Tomorrow the Reserves are at home to Amory Green Rovers Reserves with a kick-off at 5pm.

There will be three hours of football for supporters to watch at home tomorrow.

The Reserves still have more matches to complete the Division Four West fixtures for 2021/22.

I will be running the club raffle during the day tomorrow.

The First Team play at 2pm and the Reserves at 5pm so see you all tomorrow and good luck everybody.
