SATURDAY, December 28 wasn’t a good day for Lapford FC’s First team.

Playing away at Feniton, they returned with a loss of 2-1, so they have dropped 13 points from 13 matches played so far, leaving themselves in third position in the Premier Division with a record of P13, W7, D3, L3, GD+18-pts 24, with goals so far for 36, against 18.

It was a another day off for the Reserves and I hope it was put to good use. Their Division Five record stands at P8, W1, D2, L5, GD-11-pts 5, with goals for nine and against 20. So come on, onwards and upwards for 2020.

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 4 the Reserves are at home to Exeter United and the First team are away against Whipton and Pinhoe with a kick off time of 2pm.

Here are some fixtures to think about: Premier Division, January 11 Sidmouth Reserves away and January 18 home to Exeter University Reserves.

The Reserves, on January 11, will be at home to Exeter University and on January 18 they are away against Starcross Generals.

So Happy New Year to all the players, staff, supporters and all the “Courier” readers who look forward to my report and keep the spotlight on Lapford AFC.
