SPREYTON 4 - KENTISBEARE SECONDS 1

SPREYTON bounced back from last weeks result to see off a challenging Kentisbeare side.

Spreyton started the game well and chances were coming from both sides but Spreyton capitalised on a Kentisbeare mistake and Cameron Pow broke down the left-hand side in behind the defence to slot it around the ‘keeper to go 1-0 up within 20 minutes.

After the goal Spreyton seemed to switch off as Kentisbeare got back into the game and knocked a lovely worked goal to equalise with 10 minutes to go before half-time.

With a few dying seconds to go in the first half Cameron Pow broke down the left-hand side again to slot it across the box for Matt Baker to hit the ball into an open net to go in at half-time 2-1.

The second half felt more comfortable with the wind on Spreyton’s side. Pushing for more goals chances were coming thick and fast and 10 minutes into the second half Cameron netted his second running at the defence and slotted home to make it 3-1.

For Spreyton, Cameron netted his hat-trick shortly after his second and turned the defender inside out to slot home to make it a dream debut three goals and a great debut.

Great to see Greg Jolly make his debut and great to see the lads back on a team atmosphere and the three points we knew we could achieve!
