DUE to the COVID-19 virus, our season has come to a sudden end.

The season hasn’t gone how we would have liked it to, but we didn’t get to play any of the teams where we may hopefully have picked up some points.

Dave José Hughes led us to believe we weren’t going to lose another game this season (unlike his beloved Tottenham who don’t look like winning another game).

Although we are gutted to miss the remainder of the season, we realise the seriousness of the current situation.

The health of our players and everyone else is more important.

Some of our supporters would have been banned in isolation (my Grandad, France) due to over 70’s being encouraged to stay at home.

Things have changed again in the last week with everyone being asked to think about and act on the social distancing advice.

My plea to everyone is to follow this advice.

Me and my mates are going to get lots of virtual practice in over the coming weeks (around home school work of course) via Fifa on the Playstation.

I would like to thank all the coaches on behalf of the team for their hard work this season: Steve the Postie James – delivering a fitness regime, Darren Crump – admin master, DIY Dave Hartshorne – running the line and helping with fixtures and Dave José Hughes – who gets a mention every flipping week!

Behind the scenes the Club, like everyone has had a hard couple of weeks, and several more to come.

Special thanks to Age Harvey our Chairman and Sabrina Philp our Treasurer, amongst many others, who are working hard to keep our club going.

I will write again in the future if there is anything to report, if not here’s to the 2020/21 season.
