CREDITON United AFC is extremely pleased to announce the formation of its first ladies team for the forthcoming season and warmly welcomes new manager Sean Hartrey, and his coaching team, as well as a growing group of players to the senior club.

Sean joined Crediton Youth approximately six years ago and when his daughter took up playing football, he helped play a part in developing Crediton Youth Girls section to its current levels today of 100+ female players ageing from five to 18 years-old.

The formation of the ladies side completes the final piece of the jigsaw for female football in the town and with coaches Martin, Dave and Joe.

The aim is to continue the success and professionalism they have implemented within the girls youth section into the Ladies side at Crediton United.

Sean’s appointment followed several months of constructive discussions with Kirton Chairman Alan Ord.

Commenting on the announcement, Alan made clear this was the most exciting new development for a number of years and strengthens the community focus the club holds as a core principle for future success.

Alan went on to add that the Senior Club will now move on to work collaboratively with the highly successful Crediton Youth set up to provide all young players with the opportunity to progress into senior football at this great club and to improve the already considerable facilities we are able to share.

Crediton United Ladies are already in training for the 2021-22 season and will compete in the Devon Women’s League.
