COPPLESTONE United FC is celebrating its best ever season with more of the local youth teams winning and putting in great performances against the best of Exeter Youth League teams.

With the club reaching a milestone in its development, the club’s top age group, Under 16’s Rangers, players now moving on into adult football, a link has been made with Bow AAC to give profession to players if they wish to continue their football development.

Rangers completed a good season finishing sixth in Division Three.

Copplestone Colts have been playing some excellent football this season and have finished fourth in the Exeter Youth League Under 15’s Division One.

They have played against the top teams in the Mid Devon area after promotion last season.

Copplestone Colts Under 14’s, this season in Division Two of the Exeter Youth League, have won half of their figures and finished mid-table in a very competitive division.

Copplestone Sharks Under 13’s had a sensational season finishing with a touch win at home 5-4 against the second in the table to win the Division Three on goal difference.

Copplestone Tigers Under 12’s had a stand-out season winning the Under 12’s Plate competition which was rounded off by winning Division Two with the team playing great football with some outstanding results.

Copplestone Pumas Under 12’s had a good first season as a new team with some creditable results in Division Three.

Copplestone Scorpions Under 11’s had a touch but successful season with more game time and lots of competitive matches with all players enjoying the experience.

Next season they join the Under 12’s age group with league status fixtures.

Copplestone Hawks Under 10’s continue to improve and this season have proved themselves capable to compete against some of the better teams in their age groups.

Copplestone Cobras Under 15’s and Sharks Under 13’s now leave on the season ending tour of Holland to play in the St Boniface Cup competition in Dokkum.

The club wishes them success and hopes they enjoy the experience.

The club continues to evolve with a good crop of young stars attending taster training sessions on Saturday mornings in Copplestone.
