COPPLESTONE United Football Club is delighted to announce that the club’s outgrown football kits have found a new home with a football team for street children in Rwanda.
The children are so pleased with their kits that they have renamed their team Copplestone United! The two clubs plan to keep building links and exchanging news and stories in the future.
Claire Marshall Tucker, Copplestone FC treasurer told the Courier: “It seemed such a waste to throw away our old kits and we had been looking for some time for a club that might need them.
“The kits could not have gone to a better home. We are so pleased to be supporting children playing football, wherever they might be.”
Copplestone FC runs youth football teams from Under 7/8s to Under 15s.
Anyone interested in joining any other age group, should contact Kay Gibson, Club Secretary on 07522 342 272 or email: [email protected] .
