SATURDAY, October 17 was another good day for Lapford AFC with two wins.

The Reserves won at home to Bow Reserves 2 - 0, making it four points from the two matches against Bow Reserves, and one clean sheet. Well, done lads, hopefully this can be carried forward to the away match against Sandford Reserves on Saturday, October 24 with kick-off at 3pm.

The First team won away at Alphington Reserves 1-3.

It took until the second half to break the 0 - 0 first half, with possession to Lapford at least 90 per cent with 12 corners to one, plus two strikes hitting the uprights.

In the second half, the first Lapford goal came on 46 minutes, followed by two more at 87 and 95 minutes. The hosts scored a goal on 92 minutes.

Lapford has now played a quarter of the season’s league matches, unbeaten, not bad for a village club.

The first team are on top of the Premier West Division with a record of : P5 - W5 - D0 - L0 Pts 15, goals F28 with A3, goal difference of plus 25.

Thorverton is in second place and Chagford is in third.
