SANDFORD Football Club and Alphington AFC have both made it through to the quarter finals of the Devon Intermediate Cup after convincing wins.
Both fourth round ties were brought forward a week and saw the Alphas send South Devon League side Stoke Gabriel/Torbay Police award 5-1, while Sandford were 6-1 winners at Lifton, one of the Devon and Exeter Football League former teams but now operating in the Kirnow Stone St Piran League.
Sandford notably are getting pretty excited about their progress a they have never reached a County final before.
The other six ties are due to take place on Saturday, January 17 and the League has hopes of another of its five teams making it through.
