THE Devon County Veteran Ladies Championships were held at Holsworthy Golf Club on Monday, June 5 and congratulations go to Marcia Collett of Okehampton Golf Club on winning the Badcock Salver for runner-up in the scratch competition with a gross 87.

Okehampton ladies also took the Knowle Shield for the best combined score.

Peter Howell was the winner of the Devon Golf Junior Whitsun Medal at Yelverton Golf Club on Wednesday, May 31, with a nett 64.

On Saturday, June 10 the June Medal and the first round of the Hutchings Cup was played and the winner of Division One with nett 64 after countback was David Williams from in second Norman Heslop. Hayden Morris was third with nett 65.

Division Two was won by Bryan Evans with nett 66, David Stanbury was second with nett 68 on the back nine from, in third Pete Okopski.

Henry Harbron was the winner of Division Three with nett 66, Eric Pengelly was second with nett 68 and Mike Charlesworth was third also with nett 68.
