SPREYTON 7 - LAPFORD 0

SPREYTON FC’s game against Lapford First team on Saturday, February 15 was always going to be a fiery fixture.

The game produced two red cards with Lapford’s Matt Baker seeing a straight red after five minutes and Spreyton’s Ko King losing his head in the second half to pick up a yellow closely followed by a red.

The Sprey’s went into half-time 2-0 up with goals coming from Owen Gregory and a Chris Down penalty.

The second half saw Spreyton get another five goals with Chris Down ending up with four in total, Owen Gregory (2) and Matt Burt scoring his first for the Sprey’s keeping all today’s goals in the family!

A clean sheet from Jordan Rowe who also claimed an assist and chances taken well keeps the pressure on the unfaltering Kentisbeare.

Next up for the Sprey’s is a trip over to Amory Park which is sure to be a cracker as always.
