FOLLOWING a wet and wild week at Downes Crediton Golf Club's seniors managed to get out on the course and play an individual roll up competition on Monday, January 6.
However, the course had still not fully recovered from the battering it had taken from the weather so there were temporary greens in play and only three-quarter handicaps were allowed.
The winner, with a score of 33 points, was Laurence Taylor and in second just a point behind with 32 points was Brian Johnston.
The ladies played a three clubs and putter individual stableford on Thursday, January 9.
Winning, with a score of 29 points, was Rickie Pawsey. There was then a three-way tie with 27 points. In second place with the best of the 27 points was Fran Shrubsole, third was Lyn Parry, with Angela Battershall in fourth place.
Saturday, January 11 saw the men finally play a competition following a couple of weeks of cancellations.
They played an individual stableford when Cyril Dawes was the winner of Division One with 40 points. In second place was Martin Garnsey with 38 points.
Andrew Jackman was Division Two winner with 42 points and second was Jack Cross with 38 points.
