THE Senior section at Downes Crediton Golf Club held a Texas Scramble on Monday, December 9 and winning with a score of 63 (-7) were Colin Wheatcroft, Tom Berry and Wally Phillips.

In second place with a score of 64 (-6) were John Cann, Colin Cole and Richard Burston and two shots behind, in third place with 66 (-4), were Brian Kelly, David Jones and Stuart Lewis.

A Three player Team Stableford was played on Saturday, December 14 in very windy and difficult conditions. Winners were David Woodstock, John Warren and the week's in-form player, Colin Wheatcroft, with a score of 80 (-8.)

Four shots back in second place, with a 76 (-4), were David Slee, Andy Frankum and Steve Lay.

Gary Price, Alan Lawrence and Tom Long took third place with 73 (-1).

Downes Crediton Golf Club wishes everyone in Crediton a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing many at the club in 2014 and using the facilities.
