THE Seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club played a Roll up Stableford on Monday, September 30 and coming out on top with 47 points was Joe Liversage.
In second place with a score of 42 points was Basil Jose and in third place with 41 points was Ed Copp.
Saturday, October 5 saw the playing of the final medal of the year, "The Norman Sutton" and the October monthly medal, a day where many of the annual prizes were to be settled.
Winning the scratch event and Martini Trophy was Alan Lawrence shooting a gross 74 (+4). In second place was Martin Garnsey shooting a gross 75 which gave him enough Order of Merit points to win him the Cossey Trophy which is the Scratch Order of Merit Trophy.
Barrie Phillips scored a net 66 (-4) to win the overall and Division Three prizes. Division One was won by James Bourner after shooting a net 68 (-2,).
Joe Liversage, again on form, won Division Two with a net 68 (-2) and Club Captain Quin Payne-Cook finished ninth overall which gave him enough points to crown him the Handicap Order of Merit Champion and win the Thompson Trophy.
Sunday was Summer Knockout finals day at Downes. Congratulations go to the following people on their victories: Rodin Mackay (scratch cup), Matt Davey (Conibear cup), Arthur Moughton (Crown and Sceptre cup), Tim Lee and Steve Lay (Stan Setter Better Ball), Ron Drew and Mark Cummins (Gardener Salver), Martin Garnsey and Alan Hatherley (Scratch Foursomes).
