GRACE Sinclair, a Year 8 pupil from Chulmleigh Community College, competed for the college in the National Schools’ Equestrian Association (NSEA) Arena Eventing Qualifiers on May 27, and was placed fifth out of a class of approximately 120.
This fantastic achievement, in a competition for ages 18 and under, means Grace has qualified for the National Schools’ Championships in October.
The NSEA aims to promote and encourage the participation in, and recognition of, equestrian sport within schools in Great Britain.
Pupils can represent their school at equestrian competitions throughout the country in disciplines including dressage, show jumping, arena eventing (“jumping with style”), one-day events, hunter trials and tetrathlons.
They take place at local, county, regional and national levels, culminating in the annual National Schools Championships in October.
