THE seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club played the April monthly medal on Monday, April 4 and it saw Jim Dunlop shoot a nett 68 to take the

Division One prize with Peter Blinkhorn shooting a nett 71 to finish second.

In Division Two it was David Moss who scored a nett 69 to take top spot while finishing second it was Richard Burston who scored nett 70.

Eric Fee stole the show on Wednesday, April 6 with a superb score of 43 points to win the mid-week stableford.

On Thursday, April 7, the ladies county stableford saw Fran Shrubsole, with 33 points take the Division One prize with Tracey Chandler finishing second with a score of 33 points, but lost to a better back nine.

In Division Two it was Dianne Botterill who scored 27 points to take first place while June Mitchell finished second with a score of 26 points Jill Yates won the nine hole competition with a score of 19 points.

Darren Chant won the nine hole Thursday stableford with a cracking score of 20 points.

Rohan Hardeman took home the overall and Division Three prizes on Saturday, April 9, as he scored an incredible 40 points, in this months April stableford while in Division One it was Stephen Yates who scored 37 points. In Division Two it was Gerry Hodder with 36 points who took top spot and the best ladies was Kate Cornish who scored 35 points.

The juniors played in the first round of the Basil Steer Trophy on Sunday, April 10 at Tiverton against a very tough Royal North Devon side and it was the Crediton boys that came out on top as the team of Tom Grinney, Fergus Gouvier and Liam Whittleston had a great result of 2/1, which takes them into the next round.
