DURING the early hours of Sunday, October 9, two youths broke off the wing mirrors of a number of cars parked in the East Street area of Crediton.

A local resident told the “Courier”: “My son witnessed them walking towards the centre of town and breaking wing mirrors as they went.

“On some of the vehicles they broke both wing mirrors, either by kicking them or pushing them with their bums.

“My son shouted at them and they ran off.

“He says they were aged about 12 or 13 years-old and one was wearing a burgundy hoodie.

“My car was fortunately not damaged but many others in the area did get damaged, more than eight I believe.

“However, I understand that some local residents did not report the damage but Crediton Police are keen to hear of any other vehicles damaged and to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything.”

If you would like to report a damaged vehicle or can help the police with their inquiries into tracing the suspects, please contact Crediton Police using the 101 number.
