THE annual Friends of Sandford School Strawberry Fair was held in the village on Saturday, July 4.

The fundraiser for the primary school featured cream teas with strawberry jam, various stalls and games, a model tractor display, a raffle, face-painting, and a music tent.

A new attraction this year in the school field was the “Lego Path”, over which brave souls walked barefoot, many wincing in pain, to win a prize.

The games included a teddy tombola, hook-a-duck, lucky dip, wet-the-rector and more.

There was also an ice cream van, picnic area and a bar with Sandford Orchards cider.

The fair usually raises around £2,000 for the primary school.
