IN last week’s Courier Letters page, Dorothy Knowles asks how to manage when the Crediton Post Office closes for two weeks.

There’s an easy answer to this!  Come to the Post Office in Sandford.  You will be made very welcome.

You will find not just a Post Office waiting for you, but also a treasure trove of local products to consume at home or to give as gifts  -  many of which are not available in supermarkets.

If you don’t drive or have a car, there are buses to Sandford from Crediton (Turners Tours 369) -  maybe try out a coffee (or even lunch) in The Lamb Inn or The Rose and Crown while you wait for the return bus.

If you are fit enough and have the time, why not walk along the footpath from the top of Jockey Hill through the Millennium Green?

I’m sure I speak for many in Sandford when I say we look forward to seeing many of our Crediton friends in Sandford while the Crediton Post Office is closed.

Sandford Community Stores is a great little shop with much to offer.  See you soon.
