CONNOR Champ (10) of Crediton is a pupil at Landscore Primary School and started playing tennis when he was just five years old and has won trophies and medals.
He has showed such promise that he is now sponsored by Avilton Foods. Connor plays at the Exeter Tennis Centre based at Exeter University.
In 2008 he won a dozen trophies in various tournaments including winning the Under l0 Boys at the Tarka Tennis Centre, the Exeter Tennis Week Trophy. He was also a winner at the Exeter Tennis Centre and at Taunton for his age group. He has also had several runner-up awards.
This continued into 2009. He was the Tarka Junior Green Ball singles winner and the Under l0 winner in the Weymouth Junior Open.
He is now playing in the Yellow Ball tournaments for 12 years and under.
Connor's mum, Lisa, says she and the whole family are very proud of him.
