AS winter approaches, thousands of refugees are living in camps, especially in Greece and Lebanon, in very poor conditions, and so are in particular need of help at this time of year.

Welcoming Refugees in Crediton is organising another collection at Crediton Congregational Church on Saturday, November 23, from 10am to 1pm.

The public is asked to donate any of the following:?Clothes for men, women and children, washed and in good condition. Also blankets, sleeping bags and waterproof coats.

Baby clothes and other equipment for babies.

First aid kits and personal hygiene type equipment, eg toothpaste/toothbrushes.

Tinned food but not meat items or baked beans. Other food eg rice/pasta etc.

Hand sewing machines/sewing items/wool.

The group is also in need of a reasonably sized van on this occasion so if you have one or know of one, please contact Gerald Conyngham on 07795 151552. The group has a driver and expenses can be covered.
