CREDITON now has its own dedicated website where you can find out about local produce.
The website - http://www.creditonlocalproduce.co.uk">www.creditonlocalproduce.co.uk - shows you what is available and where you can buy it!
Organisers, Sustainable Crediton, say the website will help local people save money, cut food miles, support the local economy and eat healthily.
Food and Farming Group member Linda Lever explained: "The Crediton area contains a wealth of superb local produce and a wide variety of producers - from large farms to small specialists, from year round suppliers to smallholders selling their seasonal surplus.
"We've invited them all onto this site so that you should find something to suit your palate, your purse and your ethos. Visitors to the site will also be able to get ideas for eating out, take part in local cookery courses, grow produce at home, find recipes, receive special offers, share local food news and contribute thoughts on local food and sustainability."
The stall will be run in co-operation with Crediton Allotments Society and Crediton Garden Club.
Advice about growing vegetables and fruit will be available along with a display of pot grown food, seasonal recipes, seeds, composting containers and every aspect of growing food for yourself.
There will also be information about the other activities of our Food and Farming Group and about Sustainable Crediton in general.
You can join the local food group online or email [email protected]">[email protected] or telephone 01363 776987.
Alternatively, write your details on a postcard and post it or drop it into The Green House, Market Square, Crediton EX17 2BL.
