AN urgent appeal has been issued for information about a Crediton man who has gone missing in Thailand.
Martin Wood (48) was last seen leaving Dream Boutique Hotel, Petcharburi, 76120 Cha Am, Thailand by hotel staff, at around 5am on December 30.
He has not been heard from since.
The Lucie Blackman Trust, which supports British victims overseas, has issued the appeal on its website and on social media.
The Trust says Martin is 5ft 10 ins tall, of medium build, with thinning mousey brown hair and blue eyes.
He was said to have last been seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
The Trust asks that if anyone has any information, to please get in touch.
From the UK you can telephone the central Freephone information line on 0800 098 8485. Calls are free from landlines but may be charged from mobile telephones.
From overseas you can call +44800 098 8485 but this will incur costs. The trust advises that people please check before calling.
Alternatively, you can email any information to [email protected] .
All information is treated in the strictest confidence by the Trust.
Paul Stevens, from Barnstaple, taking to "Facebook" said: "My best man Martin Wood has gone missing in Thailand.
"Please could I ask you all to share the link to as many friends and family as possible and encourage them to do the same.
"We are all really worried about him.
"Let’s use the power of ’Facebook’ to find him. Many thanks."
Martin works for the Wood Group, scrap metal merchants and salvage consultants of Lords Meadow Industrial Estate, Crediton.
He attended Queen Elizabeth’s Community College in Crediton and is married to Jenny Raynor Wood.
On the social media site it says he lives in Exeter.
Earlier today, Sunday, January 7, Jenny sent a "Facebook" message to Martin from Drake Circus at Plymouth with a message saying "Wish you were here".
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Martin, they are asked to get in touch with the Trust immediately.
