TWO Crediton youngsters have read as many as 500 books each in a library reading challenge.
Frank, 10, and Julia, 9, completed the challenge in four and three years respectively.
In recognition of their achievement, they received trophies and gold Secret Book Quest certificates from Crediton Library.
Frank especially enjoyed reading the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz, and Julia The School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani.
In his spare time, Frank likes collecting gemstones, and Julia enjoys swimming and going to Brownies.
A fun and free way to get children reading, the Secret Book Quest involves reading a set number of books, collecting stickers and deciphering a code.
Children can sign up for the challenge at their local library.
