CROWDS of people descended on Knightshayes Court near Tiverton for the 32nd Mid Devon Show on Saturday, July 26.

There was a wide variety of attractions, stalls, live music and local food and drink to enjoy.

Alongside livestock competitions featuring cattle, sheep, pygmy goats and heavy horses, there were classic vehicles, equestrian performances, motorcycle stunt displays, ferret racing, dog shows, giant tortoises and more to see.

Crediton-area food and drink producers were out in force including Quicke’s and Exe Valley Farm Shop, alongside local brands Ashgrove Kitchens, agricultural engineers Andrew Symons Ltd and Mole Avon Country Stores.

The president of the show this year was Richard Taylor. The main sponsor was Winkworth estate agency and this year’s chosen charity was the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

The Mid Devon Show is organised by The Mid Devon Town and Country Show Society. The one-day event has been held annually since 1993, except for 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Wet weather left organisers with a £30,000 loss in 2023.
