THE Lavish Life car club and the Crediton Tesco store at Wellparks are busy organising the next Charity Car Show, which will be held on Sunday, April 2.
The Car Shows of 2016 raised more than £2,500 for charity, as well as providing virtually all of the funding for Crediton Town Council to purchase a defibrillator for the Town Square.
The show is a family-friendly event, free to anyone that wants to go along.
This will be the third such Car Show and it is expected to be the biggest so far.
There will be cars from across the South West attending, including many members of other regional car clubs as well as Lavish Life.
The show will take place from 6pm with a raffle, prizegiving and food and drinks available.
Due to the date of the event it is being dubbed the "April Fuels Day Show".
Crediton Tesco Community Champion, Andrew Drayton, said he is delighted that there is interest and an appetite for more Charity Car Shows.
He added: “I love the evenings of the car shows. They have a vibe like nothing else we do and have proven to be a great event for anyone of any age who’s interested in cars to see what is happening in that world.
"Tesco and Lavish Life are very proud of the events we’ve held previously and the amounts that have been raised for charity and local community projects.”
It is planned that Community Champions from other Tesco stores will be attending, having heard about the shows and their popularity.
Andrew added: “They are coming down to see what’s involved and how the events run with a view to holding them in other Tesco’s in Devon.
"It is also planned that the Police and Fire Service will again be attending and promoting their ‘Honest Truth’ campaign that promotes safer driving for younger motorists.”
Crediton Army Cadets will, again, provide some of the volunteers for the evening and Lavish Life and Crediton Tesco would like to thank all from the unit for their continued support for the event.
Profits this year will go to Help for Heroes, Diabetes UK and British Heart Foundation.
