THERE have been many reports of ice on roads and pavements in the Crediton area this morning, Friday, January 2.

The road and pavement from Station Road along Joseph Locke Way are both covered with black ice and are very slippery, and advice is to avoid the area if you can.

Redlands Primary Care in Joseph Locke Way has issued a warning about the situation.

Wellparks Hill pavement is also said to be very icy.

There are also reports of black ice at Poughill and in the Cheriton Fitzpaine areas.

One vehicle is reported to have hit the hedge near the Cheriton Fitzpaine turning off the Crediton to Bickleigh Road.
