AN exciting opportunity has opened for people to join the community chorus in the English/German theatre production “Echoes of Wartime”, which opens in Crediton in October.

A series of free-of-charge dance/movement sessions are on offer to develop parts of the show, and will be run by well-known dance/movement teacher Mrs Vicky Evans with support from Luca Vaccari.

The sessions will be mainly on Friday afternoons from 4.30pm to 6.30pm plus two whole Sundays.

They start on Friday, August 31, and will run weekly up to the three public performances when the group joins the professional English and German actors on the evenings of October 11, 12 and 13.

“These are fantastic opportunities to join a group of keen performers, learn new skills, have fun, and build up your experience of movement-theatre,” says the show’s Artistic Director Anthony Richards of The Common Players Theatre company.

He added: “At the end you’ll work alongside professional actors from both England and Germany to help commemorate some extraordinary stories of ordinary local people in the Great War of 100 years ago.”

More information about the project is on the show’s website: www.echoesofwartime.com .
