THROUGHOUT the month of December, Crediton Tesco at Wellparks will again give local groups and organisations the chance to collect at the superstore.

In the past many groups have benefited from the opportunity provided by the retailer and the generosity of its customers.

The stores community champion, Andrew Drayton, is again excited for their prospects, saying: “We have tried as far as possible to get in as many local group as possible that would not normally get a chance to do this kind of thing.

“We have such a wide variety this year from Primary school choirs, to local groups that support and help the elderly, adults and children with special needs as well as youth groups and local branches of regional and national charities.”

He continued, “In the past our charity month has helped many groups raise tens of thousands of pounds and this is entirely down to the superb generosity of our customers.

“What I have come to discover doing my community work is that everyone has a cause that is close to their heart and that they want to support.

“With this year’s Charity Month we have tried to provide a variation and diversity of those collecting so that everyone, should they choose to, can find a cause that matches their own and provide, however small, a donation that will help our local community.”
