STUNNING photographs by a local amateur photographer are being displayed at Crediton Library until the end of March.

Andy Wills, who lives and works in the town, became interested in photography in the early 1980’s, his first camera being a Nikon FM.

In late 2011 he decided to focus on landscape as his main photographic subject.

Self-taught, he uses different mediums to support the quality of his photographs.

The exhibition includes local scenes, such as Shobrooke Park and Park Hill as well as Dartmoor scenes including "Nine Maidens" and river and beach scenes including "The Power of Three Fishermen", "Porthleven" and "Cross on the Beach" to name but a few.

A number of his images are for sale in the Crediton Card Centre in Crediton High Street.

Some images are also available as postcards at the Card Centre, and most of these are local scenes.

Andy, who is a member of Crediton’s Queens Badminton Club, said he goes to a lot of trouble to achieve the perfect image and commented on one image from his exhibition where he visited the location where the image was taken for three evenings in succession to achieve the shot.

The exhibition is available to view during library opening hours.
