CODS Showstoppers concert, was performed to a packed audience at the Boniface Centre, Crediton on Friday and Saturday evening (September16 and 17).
Tickets were sold out three weeks before the ever-popular CODS concert, which was sponsored by Crediton Care Services Ltd and Devondale. The programme was sponsored by Helmores and Hedgerow Print.
The Boniface Centre was decorated in a "Show" theme and the audience were seated at pre-booked tables in eager anticipation of what the evening would bring - and they weren’t disappointed.
The show included "Another Openin’, Another Show," "Send in the Clowns," and "Cabaret" all sung by the talented chorus.
Gifted soloists performed numbers including "Belle The Sleeping Car," "They Call The Wind Maria" and "Mack The Knife."
The appreciative audience were encouraged to "sing for their supper" and joined in with the chorus of "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" which was sung by talented soloists John Musty and Paul Walker.
During the interval an excellent meal of Chicken a la King & I with rice followed by Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Surprise was enjoyed by the audience.
The audience were encouraged to take part in a quiz, "Name that Show" with clues given throughout show. The quiz is now open to members of the community.
A retiring collection was made in support of FORCE cancer charity.
