Trail maps complete with a “fun challenge” can be bought from Sandford Community Stores for the sum of £4. Those who take part can vote for their favourite scarecrow.

The trail, which is an annual fundraiser for Sandford School, will be in place until Sunday, September 7.

This year’s theme is “school day memories” to celebrate Sandford School’s 200th anniversary.
