SHOPPERS braved inclement weather for an evening of festive late-night shopping in Crediton on Friday, December 5.

There were Christmas lights illuminating the High Street and Town Square, and Father Christmas could be seen roaming around spreading festive cheer.

At the Creedy Centre, there was a pop-up craft market featuring local traders, and at The Bookery three Devon-based authors signed copies of their books.

The late-night shopping event was organised by Crediton Town Council and supported by Crediton Chamber of Commerce.

“It was great to see so many of Crediton’s wonderful independent businesses open for late-night shopping,” said a Crediton Town Council spokesperson.
