THE Crediton Boniface Rotary Club are very grateful to the people of the Crediton area for supporting and giving items to their recent container collections at the Crediton Tesco store at Wellparks and at the Crediton Morrisons store in Mill Street.

Nick Yarnold, President of Crediton Boniface Rotary Club said: "The collections have been a phenomenal success and we are proud to have collected for St Petrock’s again this year.

"We would like to thank George Rose of Rose Removals for suppling the containers, Tesco and Morrisons for locating them and Create Storage for the storage.

Many items including warm clothing and sleeping bags were donated by members of the public and will help the Exeter charity St Petrock’s to make the winter a little easier for those who are homeless or vulnerably housed.

The Rotary Club are now collecting for The Amber Foundation at Chawleigh, which helps homeless and unemployed young people.

Items that are required are: warm clothing, mugs, crockery, linen (for single beds), smart clothing, Christmas decorations, board games, food for Christmas meals, Christmas presents for young people, toiletries, socks, hats, sweets etc.

The charity also needs old musical instruments, art materials, old cameras and stationery for projects they run.

The containers will be located in the car parks of Crediton Morrisons off Mill Street and Tesco Crediton at Wellparks until December 31 and will be emptied regularly during this time.
