BOW doctors' practice continues to be a thorn in the foot of Devon Primary Care Trust, with four prickly questions asked at the PCT Board meeting in Crediton on Wednesday.

Board chairman, Dr David Radford, said they were not at liberty at a public meeting to discuss a great deal because of what was being referred to the High Court.

Four of the nine questions from the public at the Board meeting were about the Bow practice. One questioner wanted to know why the Board seemed to be contradicting itself in advertising the practice as being good, while saying that league table results were not.

Other questions were about the relationship between Dr Andrew Bower and Devon Health Centre and if it was true that the rental of the temporary surgery, the seven Portakabins, was five times more than that of the former surgery at Fairpark.
