PLANS for a new Timpson kiosk outside Crediton’s Tesco supermarket have been lodged with Mid Devon District Council.

It would offer dry cleaning, shoe repairs, key-cutting, engraving and photo processing between the hours of 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

The kiosk would be rectangular and measure 6.55 metres wide, 2.54 metres deep and 2.46 metres high.

It would be made of timber and steel with aluminium and glass windows and doors. It would be placed at the far-left corner of the front of the supermarket viewed from the car park.

“The desire to provide a Timpson pod at the Tesco site is part of Timpson Ltd’s current business plan to increase their portfolio nationwide, they currently have many such pods in similar locations across the UK,” planning documents say.
