MEMBERS of the 1st Crediton Beaver colony would like to say a big "thank you" to PC Dave Pilling for visiting them recently, to talk about his job as a policeman in Crediton.

During his visit, the Beavers enjoyed trying on Police helmets and jackets and playing a game which tested their knowledge about which emergency services they should call in different situations.

This evening met the last requirement needed for the Beavers to gain their Friendship Challenge Badge and will also go towards gaining their Safety Activity Badge.

On the same evening, the Beavers welcomed three new members but also said goodbye to Edward Mortimer, Sam Reed and Ellen Kitchen, who are moving on to become Cubs after half-term.

Both Edward and Sam also received their Chief Scout Bronze Award in recognition of gaining all six Beaver Challenge Badges.
