AN evening to hear about work with refugees overseas and locally is taking place on Wednesday, June 19, as part of CredFest and Refugee Week, at 7.30pm at Crediton Congregational Church, High Street, Crediton.

During the evening, those attending will hear from Ann-Marie Brennan who has worked in many countries abroad and also from a local QE student who has interviewed Syrian young women living in Lebanon.

She will be launching her book called “Hear Me Out”, based on these interviews.

Also the work of Welcoming Refugees in Crediton will be outlined by the convenor, Gerald Conyngham, who will talk about the latest developments in plans to welcome a Syrian family to Crediton.

A Crediton scratch choir will be singing some songs on this theme in between the presentations.

There is no entry fee but a retiring collection will be taken to support work with refugees abroad and locally.

A stimulating evening is promised and all will be welcome to attend.
